The denim austin coat feels like a coat straight out of the suffragette 1900's.

Behind the design
Denim especially denim with stretch like this one, is such a versatile fabric. So good for pants and jackets but also great for unexpected choices like dresses. The black charcoal denim has a clean smooth feel of a denim that has just been machined. Megan loves the new, straight off the shelf feeling it has and decided to create a number of styles that could be utilised for work or play.
She has added contrasting natural coloured hand stitching in strategic places on many of the denim styles. The suffragette historical period of clothing has influenced Megan greatly because it is both womanly and very functional. this coat reflects that in a number of ways. It has a lapel collar, long sleeves and swing in the skirt. The shapeliness of the style comes from princess line shaping which is particularly good for those who want to elongate their figure.
